RPET Clothing
RPET clothing is one of the most innovative and environmentally responsible fabric options available today. At Royal Apparel, we incorporate RPET into our garments to create sustainable apparel that reduces waste while maintaining the comfort, durability, and quality our customers expect. From headbands to zip hoodies, you can expect RPET construction in every Royal Apparels collection.
About RPET: What is it?
RPET stands for Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate, a material created by transforming recycled plastic (primarily plastic bottles) into usable textile fibers. These fibers are then blended with other materials such as organic cotton to create fabrics that are soft, durable, and environmentally conscious. Many RPET fabric blends are produced in a 50/50 ratio of recycled polyester and organic cotton, though Royal Apparel also offers additional sustainable blends such as triblend fabrics. 90% less water is used in the manufacturing of RPET clothing, dramatically reducing Royal Apparel’s environmental impact.
By using recycled materials, RPET clothing helps divert plastic waste from landfills while reducing the environmental impact of apparel production. Clean planet, comfy clothes. That’s a win/win in our book.
RPET Fun Facts
The importance of recycling plastics into fabrics becomes clearer when considering the scale of global plastic waste:

- RPET fabrics can have up to a 50% lower carbon footprint compared to some traditional textile materials
